When you supply your personal details to Ingram Osteopaths, they are stored and processed for 3 reasons (the bits in bold are the relevant terms used in the Data Protection Act 2018, which includes the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR))
- We need to collect personal information about your health in order to provide you with the best possible treatment. Generally we hold these records in an unstructured analogue form so are not subject to data protection law. Any correspondence with us via email or text message will however be subject to data protection law and constitutes personal data.
- We have a legitimate Interest in collecting this information because without it we couldn’t do our job effectively and provide you with the service you request from us.
- We hold your contacts details so we can contact you in order to confirm your appointments with us. This constitutes your legitimate Interest.
We retain your records for 8 years after your most recent appointment (or age 25, if this is longer).
Access to our computers and your data is password protected.
